The room was new-fashioned and fairly quiet with an electric kettle, a refrigerator, an iron and ironing board included. The breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful as expected with croissants and berries, as for instance. The location was picturesque - an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go. This was a lovely trip, we didn't want to leave.

The value for money at Aultnagar Accommodation was excellent. The room was bright, spacious, and well-equipped with a personal fridge and kettle. The location was great, with a spectacular hillside view over Kirkwall. The staff, especially Laura, were incredibly welcoming and helpful, providing great sightseeing recommendations and even offering to drive us into town for live music.

The only thing that could have made the breakfast even better would be to have more breakfast options available.

Location: the hotel was adjacent to the nearby bus stop, and the last ferry. Plus, it was 10 minutes by car to The Big Tree. We truly enjoyed the convenience of the double room available with tea, coffee, milk...

I found the hotel's location quiet and perfect, short walk to the centre as well as the last ferry over on a Sunday arriving there after 8pm.

I recently stayed at Aultnagar and had a wonderful experience. The location was just outside of town, making it a peaceful retreat. The hosts, Laura and Brian, were friendly and full of helpful advice. My single room was beautifully decorated and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast options were fantastic, including homemade banana pancakes. The cleanliness of the property was impressive. it was the best British B&B I've ever stayed in. Highly recommended.

when we checked in, double room with lovely en-suite bathroom was ready. the location was perfect and peaceful, near to orkney and the island.

We think it's a chilled-out base for staying in Orkney. Make sure you stay in the deluxe room with milk as well as coffee.

Aultnagar accommodation was exceptional. Warm welcome, homemade breakfast treats, helpful tour guide advice, peaceful location, convenient access to main roads. Lovely hosts, rhubarb crumble surprise, engaging conversations, even offered a ride to town. Truly wonderful stay.

Liked every detail about my very comfortable 3 nights stay here. Its guest room was bright with coffee as well as tea. The hotel had indeed an unbeatable location close enough to easily access all the main roads for the island. Everything was simply immaculate.

My goodness! Aultnagar & Laura where amazing! We cannot say enough positive things. Due to the wonky GPS in our rental, it was a little difficult for us to locate the property, but Laura had the lights on and was waiting, even with a very late night arrival from the ferry. Every morning we were greeted with freshly baked homemade goodies for breakfast along with a large variety of other options. Multiple refreshments were available 24/7 with goodies in the room as well. Laura was such a gracious host, providing "tour guide' directions and advice on attractions , engaging in delightful conversation, and even making homemade rhubarb crumble after a comment of how my grandma used to make strawberry rhubarb pie all the time. She even offered to drive us into town for some live music so we wouldn't have to take the rental out and navigate downtown at night. The location was just far enough from Kirkwall to be peaceful, but still close enough to easily access all the main roads for the island. Truly a wonderful stay.

I couldn't have asked for a better stay at Aultnagar Accommodation. From the moment I arrived, Laura and Brian were incredibly warm and friendly. They truly made me feel at home. The room was spacious, clean, and had a personal fridge and kettle outside. It was equipped with everything I could possibly need, including tea, coffee, and fresh milk. The bathroom was bright and colorful, with an immaculate shower and fresh towels provided. The kitchen was well-stocked with a variety of breakfast options and snacks, including freshly baked scones, croissants, and banana pancakes. The hillside view of Kirkwall from the accommodation was absolutely stunning, especially on sunny mornings. Laura was also a wealth of knowledge, providing excellent recommendations for sightseeing, dining, and bus schedules. The location of the B&B was perfect, with easy access to the town center and major attractions. my stay at Aultnagar Accommodation exceeded all expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Orkney.

The only minor drawback was that the accommodation was a bit far from Kirkwall town center. However, this was not a problem for me as I enjoy walking and it only took about 20 minutes.
